Precise duration control is critical in many industrial processes. In metal plating—whether silver, chrome, nickel, zinc, or other finishes—accurate timing directly affects coating quality and consistency. Standard off‑the‑shelf timers often fail in demanding environments such as high humidity, chemical exposure, and continuous industrial use.

A leading supplier to the defence and oil & gas sectors, operating to ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 standards, required a timing solution that could withstand these harsh conditions. To meet this need, we developed a fully bespoke, ruggedised, wall‑mounted timer designed for long‑term reliability.

The unit features a sealed enclosure with a large, high‑visibility 4‑digit display showing hours and minutes. The clear front panel protects the display from corrosive atmospheres while ensuring excellent readability. Timing ranges from 1 minute to 99 hours, with both visual and audible alerts signalling the end of the programmed period.

Industrial-grade, vandal‑resistant push‑button switches provide intuitive control, while integrated smart illumination keeps operators informed of the timer’s status at all times. Custom software adds advanced functionality, including rapid set‑time adjustment and an early‑warning audible alert when the cycle is nearing completion.
